PLANET OF THE APES 1968 original Rare MUST SEE Hungarian poster Film Art Gallery

Original, first release (1981) Hungarian poster for the original science fiction classic'Planet of the Apes', starring Charlton Heston. This is one of the best, coolest and rarest posters available for the film, featuring a stunning image - courtesy of the Hungarian artist Kalman Molnar - that was only used in Hungary! In many cases, the film posters that were created in Hungary featured unique key art that was among the best if not the best! For the respective films; this poster is a perfect example. Unfortunately, relatively few were printed and even fewer have survived.

Also - please note that like most U. Films, "Planet of the Apes" didn't arrive on Hungarian screens until many years after the U. Release - in this case, it took 13 years! This poster dates from that original 1981 first release. Poster measures approximately 22" x 30" inches and condition is excellent, with one faint horizontal fold but no major flaws.
