The obverse features Ian Rank-Broadley's traditional portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the effigy is surrounded by the coins metal content, year of issue and country of release.

Depicted on the reverse is an antiqued finished, dynamic design of the original characters from the 1968 film Plant of the Apes, hovering above the design is an inscription which reads 50 Years of Planet of the Apes. In original Mint condition and with themed packaging! The coin is held in a Planet of the Apes-themed packaging with a Certificate of Authenticity and is in original Mint condition, being designated a GEM Brilliantly Uncirculated.
