He is an Artist Proof. He did not come with certificate of authenticity, as he was not used in the movie, but is still a cool part of the history in the making of. We only used him twice, he has been in proper storage. Over time, I got confused about his species, and was calling him a gorilla - orangutan, even tho he didn't really look either. He confirmed it was indeed a baboon.
Sorry for not correctly naming him before. Close up pictures were taken so you could see the detail as he is amazing! Also the hair was moved back to show a hairline that is slightly loose.
This does happen with latex puppets. They need to be stored away from light, in breathable container, away from extreme temperatures. He's always stored properly. His color is somewhat in between the pics as some are brighter, and some are seeming duller. His color is between the two, I had difficulty getting the lighting needed. If you need more pictures, I can take some. The page of the pamphlet is regular 8 x 10 size, as a guide for size.
Planet of the apes, chose Axtell Chimpanzees to be used in the movie. This professional puppet would make a great v.
