MIKE PLOOG original KEY HISTORIC art THE PLANET OF THE APES Splash COVER ART

This is the ORIGINAL Mike Ploog splash page from Marvel Comics' Magazine THE PLANET OF THE APES #3. This original was used as the COVER ARTt for all of the special editions of "THE ART OF PLOOG: THE PLANET OF THE APES ORIGINAL ARTWORK EDITION, " published several years ago. It was used on the book cover, the slipcase cover, and the portfolio cover. It was also reproduced inside the book on page #143. One of the best, most recognized pages Ploog did for the comic, thus the reason it was probably chosen as the cover art. The original page measures 18" x 12" and is signed by Mike Ploog in the lower right corner. A really important example of Mike's work on Planet of the Apes. It comes complete with the original book, slipcase and portfolio.
