This listing is for a near fine First US Edition, First Printing of PLANET OF THE APES by Pierre Boulle, originally published in France, and later translated into English. Beautiful, crisp near fine book and stunning jacket.

The crisp book has black quarter cloth and grey paper boards, with bright unfaded orange titles to spine, and circles to front board. The book is in great condition, with sharp corners, and no edgewear. The binding is tight and square. The end papers are in perfect condition with no owner names, no bookplates, no bookstore stamps, and no inscriptions. Bright unfaded orange top stain applied by publisher. Beautiful book, internally appearing as unread! The dust jacket has strong vibrant colors and presents in near fine condition having benefited from some slight restoration to the spine tips by an expert paper conservator. The stunning dust jacket has no edgewear, no chips, no rips, no stains, no fading but very very slight to the red spine titles (the spine title still has alot of the red tones which is most unusual as this book is usually found with very faded spine titles), no rubbing and no foxing.
