This was custom made for, and used during the filming of the Tim Burton film from 2001. "PLANET OF THE APES" This is absolutely genuine, and screen used, and not a reproduction or copy. It comes with a signed certificate of authenticity from Studio-Props.

This is a REAL Rick Baker artifact. It is a system of parts that was used when there was a close up of an ape doing something with his or her feet. An actor would put on the black stretchy jacket (in the photos you can see that one of the "legs" is attached to the jacket), he would then attach the hairy "legs" over his arms using hidden snaps and buckles built in. He would then slip his hands into the "feet" that are soft rubber gloves, and poof! These feet are super detailed, with visible fingerprints, painted nails etc.

The fur on the feet is all hand punched. There are hand shaped foam inserts to help perfect the shape. The tips of 2 toes on the left foot show some minor damage.
