THE BIG BANG THEORY PRODUCTION USED. Howard and Raj's HERO masks did not have these holes made in the left or right ear.

This is not always done in movies but for a show filmed in front of a live audience it makes sense for it to be a real call hence the hole in the mask's ear so the caller could be heard by the actor playing Leonard. From the hit comedy series The Big Bang Theory. In the 11th episode of the first season entitled "The Pancake Batter Anomaly, " Raj (Kunal Nayyar), Leonard (Johnny Galecki), and Howard avoid a sick Sheldon (Jim Parsons) by watching a Planet of the Apes marathon at the movie theater. To their disappointment, the theater is full of mask-wearing fans. Since Hero character's most always have back up costumes in case of wardrobe malfunction, accident or damage done during a take of the scene. I have these hero backup masks in my store. I got the entire mask set from the show, the heroes and the background actors masks. See the last few photos as proof of the masks in my posession. The masks are latex rubber with fake hair. Comes with a COA Certificate of Authenticity as PRODUCTION USED.
