Ultra Rare Vintage Beneath The Planet Of The Apes pre-certified VHS Video Cassette (Pre-owned). This VHS was released by Magnetic Video UK and I believe it was one of the first films released by the company who were owned by 20th century Fox.

Magnetic Video were the first home video company to release theatrical films to tape for home viewing. Bizarrely, I believe that this title was released on video before the original planet of the apes movie. This is the UK version which has a different serial no. To that of the U. S version and also a different picture of Dr Zaius on the slip case.

What really makes this a rare item is the fact that it remains in its original carboard slip case which all so often is cut down or altered to fit into the basic video style cases. Ie ex-rental large size or smaller modern case size. This one is completely original and as it should be in it's slip case inclusive of a protective slim line partly transparent plastic case to maintain it's integrity. I would like to point out that the protective case opens and closes as it should however the plastic stud on the opaque part of the case is broken off where the case pivots causing it to be slightly loose on one side.

(Please see last photo) I would advise a little care or to express some caution when opening. This is a pre-owned rare vintage VHS video cassette released in the late 70s, considering it's age and that it is still working I feel it is in good condition overall.

However I can appreciate condition is subjective. Please be aware that a VHS recorded film is nowhere near that of either DVD or blu ray and you may experience some issues in regard to the quality when watching these movies due to there age.

ThIs VHS cassette like my others for sale have been in the attic for decade's, I thought they had all disappeared. This VHS is quite possibly the oldest video I have ever owned and is a true part of home video entertainment history. I feel that it is now time for another collector to have the chance to own this fantastic item and enjoy having it in their collection.
